Metdose-G2 is an Anti-diabetic medicine. It is a combination medicine manufactured by combining two medicines that are used to treat Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It helps control blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. METDOSE-G2 Tablet is a bilayered oral antidiabetic medicine containing Metformin Hydrochloride and Glimepiride, two clinically proven agents widely used for the effective management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). The combination works synergistically to control blood glucose levels in diabetic patients when diet, exercise, and monotherapy fail to give adequate results.

This dual-drug formulation provides:

Mechanism of Action

The combination formulation of the medicine works together to provide a very effective solution to treat type 2 diabetes. 

Glimepiride (2 mg)

• Increases peripheral insulin sensitivity
• Reduces glucose output from the liver
   

Metformin (500 mg)

Indications

METDOSE-G2 Tablet is normally used for the treatment of

• Patients not responding to Metformin alone
• Prevention of diabetes-related complications such as Neuropathy, Nephropathy, Retinopathy, and cardiovascular risk. 

Dosage & Administration
